New: steel and aluminium lighting columns to the Dutch standard
Lichtplein now supplies conical steel lighting columns of 4 and 6 metres at a sharp price on request, plus aluminium columns of 3, 4 and 6 metres. With full dimensions on the product page, matching our street and post-top luminaires, delivered by truck.
What is new
Until now a lighting column often meant a long quotation process: send a request, wait weeks for a price, recalculate. That can be faster. Lichtplein has added the TURRIS line: conical steel lighting columns of 4 and 6 metres to the Dutch standard, at a sharp price on request with an answer within 48 hours. You add the columns with the required quantity to your quotation request, receive a price within 48 hours and get the columns delivered by truck.
In addition, the CIVIS line has been extended with aluminium lighting columns of 3, 4 and 6 metres. All three sizes are supplied on a project basis at a sharp price on request, answer within 48 hours.
The steel columns of TURRIS
The TURRIS columns are conical, made of S235JR steel and hot-dip galvanised. If you want a black column for a business park, car park or residential area, choose the version that is additionally powder-coated in RAL 9005 after galvanising. Both finishes are available in 4 and 6 metre mounting heights, so four articles in total:
- Mounting height 4 or 6 metres, the usual sizes for residential streets, car parks and business parks.
- Hot-dip galvanised as standard, or galvanised plus powder coating in RAL 9005 for a dark, uniform appearance.
- Door opening for a column cut-out from the NEXUS line.
- 5 year warranty and a sharp price on request, even for small quantities.
Aluminium columns from CIVIS
Aluminium does not rust and therefore needs no zinc layer or coating to last outdoors for a long time. An aluminium column is also lighter than a steel column of the same height, which makes installation easier. For coastal areas, locations with road salt around the column base and projects with a clean, architectural look, aluminium is therefore often the logical choice.
CIVIS supplies the aluminium columns in 3, 4 and 6 metres. In the same line you will find the solar lighting column without a grid connection and the CityCharger charging lantern with two EV charging points in the column. Dimensions on the product page
Every column has its dimensions on the product page: mounting height, ground section, spigot size, base diameter, wall thickness and the position of the door opening. This lets you check in advance whether the luminaire fits and whether the foundation and cable entry are right, without first having to request a drawing.
The 60 mm spigot fits the street luminaires of VIA, which are mounted tiltable on a 60 mm spigot, and the post-top luminaires of POLARIS for 60 to 80 mm. A NEXUS column cut-out for one or two fuses fits in the door opening, complete with fuses, screw caps and earth braids.
Ordering and delivery
Lighting columns do not travel by parcel service. We deliver them by truck, so give a delivery address where a truck can unload when you order. Allow a lead time of 3 to 5 weeks for steel columns and 4 to 6 weeks for aluminium columns. Luminaires ship from European stock within 5 working days; preferably order them and the column cut-out in the same order, so the complete lighting point is on site in time.
From 20 columns a project price applies. If you also want to know how many columns you need and at what spacing, we prepare a lighting calculation for 350 euros excluding VAT. Lichtplein supplies businesses only.
